Interior care
Keeping pet hair out of your car
Practical ways to reduce pet hair in your car and help make the next interior clean more straightforward.

Give loose hair somewhere to collect
A removable, washable seat or boot cover can make routine cleaning easier. Choose one that fits the vehicle and does not obstruct seat belts, airbags or your pet’s appropriate travel restraint. Follow the car and cover manufacturers’ guidance.
Clean little and often
Vacuum loose hair from mats and accessible surfaces before it builds up. Use a suitable attachment and avoid dragging hard edges across trim. Take removable covers out for cleaning according to their care instructions, keeping collected hair away from the cabin.
Be gentle with the surface
Carpet, woven seats and leather need different treatment. An aggressive brush or unsuitable tool can damage fibres or the finish. Test any approved method in an inconspicuous area and follow the manufacturer’s care advice. Avoid household chemicals or soaking seats.
Show us where the hair is
Take clear photographs of the seats, footwells, mats and boot for your CarTub enquiry. Embedded pet hair is additional work, quoted separately from the Maintenance Valet. The time needed depends on the amount of hair and the material it is caught in; photographs help us assess it.
